IOOF Presentation

Members of the Independent Order of Oddfellows #243 recently sold their Lodge building on Bruce Street, Thornbury which was purchased in 1936. They have donated $20,000 to the Community Family Health Centres which will help build a Community Family Health Centre in the Blue Mountains. Presenting the cheque were Robert Taylor, IOOF Treasurer, Paul Venning, IOOF Noble Grand, receiveing  the cheque on behalf of the Community Health Centres, Treasurer Bob Holden and to his right IOOF Recording Secretary, Ken Holden.

Lynn Johnston, chair of the North East Grey Health Clinics Inc. (NEGHCI) recently accepted a cheque for $125,000 from Dave Glass, president of the Meaford Hospital Foundation. The funds will be used toward the building of the new community family health centre in the Town of the Blue Mountains. The Hospital Foundation has pledged a total of $250,000 to the NEGHCI. The second half of the pledge will be presented when the fund raising campaign for the Community Health Centre being planned for Meaford gets underway.


Old Timers Hockey Donation

Ron Lennox of the Beaver Valley Old Timers Hockey Association presents a donation to Fundraising Chair, Wayne McFarlane.


Cheque Presentation

A fundraising barn dance held September 27th, 2008, by the Lora Bay Residents Association raised $5,280 for the Community Family Health Centres.
